A Brief History of Cedar Gables Inn & Napa.
Cedar Gables Inn - located in "Old Town Napa" - is a unique home with an exciting history. Built in 1892 as a wedding gift for Edward W. Churchill, it was designed by English architect Ernest Coxhead . The Old English design is fashioned after the days of Shakespeare and is entirely different from any other residence in the state.
Cedar Gables Inn was best known for it's grand parties and elegant social gatherings. The years have mellowed the Inn's character to the beautiful blend of hospitality, warm social graces, cordial friendship ... and a sense of ease that is often found with the well-to-do.

Meet Tammy & Bob Korman
Welcome to Cedar Gables Inn - a unique bed and breakfast with a blend of history, elegance, and romance. We have dedicated our work here at Cedar Gables Inn to making your experience one that you will cherish for a long time.
There are many aspects of owning a bed and breakfast inn that intrigue us as innkeepers. Creating a beautiful ambiance, practicing the fine art of hospitality, making breakfast a wonderful experience, and running a professional yet friendly inn - these are all highlights of innkeeping that we find pleasing, as well as challenging.

The historic town of Napa is the perfect place to begin your Napa Valley adventure. For over 150 years, this site along the Napa River has served as a center of commerce, government, and information for the Valley.
Founded in 1847 by Nathan Coombs, Napa boasts more pre-1906 structures than any other Bay Area city. Many of the buildings grace the downtown area adding character and charm through Italianate, Victorian Gothic, Spanish Colonial, Classical Revival.
As you explore Napa's streets, be sure to look up, down and all around. You will be rewarded with ornate cornices, friezes and colorful brick, stone and tile work. There is an Historic Walking Tour that details significant buildings to view. Please ask us for a map!
Today, Napa is the place where agriculture, commerce, theaters, galleries and opportunities to go antiquing blend into one harmonious culture. And, of course, we cannot forget the world famous vineyards and wineries of Napa Valley which literally surround the area.As history comes full circle, most of the future growth downtown will take place along a rejuvenated river front: A $70 million American Center for Wine, Food & the Arts; the renovation of the Napa Valley Opera House, and the Napa Mill.
